GITEX 2020: BE SAFE, BE THERE

Lets admit it, we all need to understand how safe it is to attend the live in-person Gitex event.


Health and safety has always been the priority. UAE government authorities have laid down multiple guidelines and enforced their implementation & periodic audits. Some quick pointers here..

  • Dubai was voted the safest city in the world to attend an exhibition.

  • DWTC venue is certified with the prestigious Bureau Veritas SafeGuard Label.

  • In the most recent exhibition (World Art Dubai), 96% of attendees reported the event to be safe and very safe, to conduct business


So why hold back? Follow the visitor safety guidelines, make it safe for yourself and for other visitors around you. And be part of this mega event of 2020.

GITEX 2020 event with no doubt adheres to all rules and regulations laid out by government authorities, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Health Authority.


The Venue DWTC, has taken multiple steps to ensure a global safety standard for GITEX 2020.

So why hold back? Follow the visitor safety guidelines, make it safe for yourself and for other visitors around you. And be part of this mega event of 2020.

GENERAL HEALTH &SAFETY MEASURES TAKEN


  • Registration/tickets will only be sold online. There will be no registration/onsite ticket sales.

  • Badges will have to be printed at home and will not be issued onsite.

  • Badges are non-transferable and badge-holders are required to show valid identification. Penalty of Dhs3,000 will be applicable to violators, who will be denied entry.

  • Wearing of masks is mandatory. A penalty of Dhs3,000 will be applicable for non-compliance.

  • Contactless temperature screening will be done at designated entry points.

  • Visitors will have to maintain 2 meters social distance at all times. Conference chairs are also set 2 meters apart from each other.

  • Conference chairs are protected with an antimicrobial shield and will be sanitized regularly.

  • Sanitizers will be available at multiple locations.

  • Disinfection protocols will be adhered to in all public areas, F&B outlets and restrooms.

  • There will be real time monitoring of crowd density and venue capacity.

  • Air extraction in the halls is pre-scheduled and all hall shutter doors will be kept open both before and after the event to assist with air circulation.

  • Exhibition halls shall close at 10pm for daily sterilization and sanitization.

  • Isolation rooms have been set up at the venue for suspected Covid-19 cases at Sharjah A meeting room above Hall 5. They will be managed with Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

  • A PCR testing clinic managed by DHA is available onsite, located at Sharjah D meeting room (above Hall 5).

EVENT REGISTRATION


Due to new H&S protocol, strictly no registration and ticket sales onsite at the show.

Admission is strictly by advance registration online only. Strictly print@home badges protocols implemented. Don't forget to print and bring it with you. Strictly no issuance of badges onsite.



With all the safety measures in place, the DWTC and Government authorities have made sure of the health and safety of all who will be part of this mega event.
